Each of the flowers is included as an edging - for a handkerchief or mat - and six of the flowers are also included in bookmarks and in ovals designed for cards. The patterns use advanced torchon techniques and are not for the beginner. Those who are not experienced in working Point Ground patterns will appreciate the sampler piece which is included and there are very comprehensive notes and extremely clear diagrams to explain the techniques used - especially the gimp methods. In addition to these general notes, there are detailed instructions for working aspects of individual patterns.
