These precisely-engineered shuttles use sewing machine bobbins that are fitted using the specially fashioned key supplied with each shuttle. Once tensioned, the thread runs smoothly. Extra bobbins are available.
The single-bobbin shuttle is available in a range of exotic and native English woods and in top quality resin. It can be supplied with or without a hook. Examples of many in the range can be seen in the bottom picture
The shuttle can be supplied in a choice of shape:
- the original "Classic" shape - with one rounded end
- the "Traditional" format - with each end pointed
A comparison of these shapes can be seen in the top picture. Both the shuttles shown are in walnut.
A small price premium applies to some of the more exotic woods and to those in mock ivory, etc materials. This is indicated when selecting and is added automatically.

Each shuttle is supplied complete with tensioning tool, instruction sheet and a winding stick.
