Roseground Now Served by New Post Office

June 17th, 2013

Roseground mail order customers around the world will be interested to hear that the local Post Office in Toton – from where Roseground mail leaves – has now reopened in a modern self-contained building. Although it has always been a busy place, the old post office, situated in the back of the almost adjacent grocery store, was far from ideal for both customers and staff.   Now everything has changed and the complete range of Post Office services are available at these spacious new premises.

The new premises were officially opened on Friday last by local Member of Parliament, Anna Soubrey – shown left, cutting the ribbon with Post Master Tony Singh

Tony and his wife Saty (shown in the new premises in our picture below) have operated the Post Office at Toton from within the family grocery store for about six years, providing an efficient and friendly service to the local community – including helping to speed the Roseground mail on its way.  But when in recent years, it had became clear that the old post office had become outdated, they decided to develop the whole site to provide a new post office and a shop unit – now occupied as a computer shop – alongside the existing grocery store.

We wish Tony & Saty every good wish for success in this exciting new venture which, we are sure, will continue to provide excellent service to the residents of Toton – and to Roseground customers !
