A manual of point ground lace for those with some knowledge of Bucks Point and experienced lacemakers.

 

The lace is based on the traditional techniques of the Pays d'Enhaut region of Switzerland which features floral designs to which the author has added new corner, hexagonal and round designs.

 

Superbly presented and a joy to own, this magnificent book features 28 patterns (plus some variations), including mats, doilies and handkerchiefs. Each has a very clear colour photograph of the finished work, pricking and a meticulous colour-coded working diagram. There is an excellent introductory section on the techniques used.
