VE Day - 75th Anniversary - 8th May 2020
8th May 1945 marked the end of World War Two in Europe. The day was a day of celebration, which saw the people of Great Britain coming together in street parties.
We had all hoped that that there would be many street parties as we celebrated the 75th anniversary but sadly the current Covid-19 situation is preventing this. We are sure many of us will still celebrate in some way and we felt it important to still have a bobbin to commemorate this important day.
Set against a sky blue background, red, white and blue bunting adorns this bobbin.
The inscription on the bobbin reads:
75th Anniversary - 8 May 2020
Available in East Midlands wood or bone and Honiton bobbin styles
The East Midlands style bobbin has a matching spangle, which features a painted bottom bead.
