Dentelle de Lille du Puy
by Mick Fouriscot
Another immaculately presented book in this series from France that we have enjoyed from this author. This time she explores Lille Lace, that was made in Puy-en-Velay but has been largely forgotten since the end of the 19th century.
After an account of its origins in the 16th Century and its fading out more than 100 years ago, details of the techniques are described, all in the French language, and supported by clear diagrams.
There follows an excellent selection of projects - 35 in all - again all in the French language but all, including those with little knowledge of the language, should find the excellent support for each pattern by diagrams, photograph(s) and notes enables good progress to be made.
Near as-new condition.
