by Pauline Knight

The author aims to bring this ancient technique, which uses traditional embroidery and darning stitches on a net ground, to a wider audience, passing on her knowledge and skills. Few tools and limited materials are required to get started and the novice is quickly rewarded.

After a section on the historical background of the technique, the basic methods are described with worked examples and there is a useful section which explains problems that may be encountered. Over 80 patterns are provided for working, comprising the majority of the book. There are also sections on design, finiishing and mounting.

Over 100 photographs, working diagrams and line illustrations.

In good but used condition with the usual scuffing, minor abrasions and some fading to the dust jacket. Price clipped with added publisher's price label.
