17 patterns for Torchon table runners, some using many bobbins, some joined along the middle and some worked in strips with only 18-20 pairs. The issue of "ends" is dealt with, partly through design and partly in the finishing method. This, and some special techniques, are described in an opening section. Prickings (most of which require enlargement on the photocopier), colour-coded working diagrams and colour photographs are provided throughout.
