Another book by this popular designer and author is sure to please those interested in Binche techniques
It offers 14 Binche projects - see lower image (click to enlarge) - including flowers and unusual snowflake variations - hence the title, roughly translated as 'Snowflakes in a skirt'. The level of difficulty of the projects increases as the book progresses. The first four patterns are relatively easy - though reasonable experience is still needed and none should be underestimated - and the final two projects are particularly challenging.
The book is packed with detail, including colour-assisted working diagrams, photographs, pricking and text in German and English.. An introductury section on techniques offers very useful advice and hints on how to bring out the full beauty of the designs.
