Ulrike often uses cryptic and amusing titles for her books and, in this case, she tells her English-speaking followers that the title is a play on words in German that can't be translated precisely. It means the effect of many snowflakes forming a snowdrift and lacemakers going mad!

In the book, she has taken parts of old Binche laces and reworked them in new settings. Many of the 20 or so patterns - including two that are other than Binche - are complex but there are basic instructions, a practice piece and some easier projects to get started.

Each project offers a pattern, colour-assisted diagram(s) and notes (in German and English)
