Spitze Von Einst in Klöppelbriefen Von Heute
by Christine Mirecki
As the title tells us - "Lace from once-upon-a-time in today's lace patterns" - the author has taken 30 patterns from the catalogue, dated 1909, of the House of Günther, of the spa town of Karlsbad, in Bohemia to create 80 patterns for today.
These superbly presented patterns use Cluny and Torchon techniques in colour as well as white thread, with something for lacemakers of most skill levels. As well as mats and edgings, there are pieces to wear making up the altogether excellent projects.
Each project includes a very clear pricking, colour photograph, colour assisted diagram, bobbin count and brief thread notes.
In excellent, near-new condition
