A book of Flanders lace patterns for lace makers who already have some experience with the technique.
In English, the title translated as 'Animal Flanders' and the patterns mainly reflect that theme, featuring birds, butterflies, reindeer, cats, hippos and ladybirds. But the range strays beyond that to include some excellent patterns featuring flowers, leaves, etc. Most of the patterns are edgings and insertions but there are circular mats and a few smaller projects,
The book opens with a short but very useful section on ground stitch variations.
The patterns are shown as colour-assisted enlarged working diagrams with the prickings on a separate sheet. Each as a clear photograph of a section of the finished work . The brief text is in German and English
