For any orders to be shipped to the USA, we are using a Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service - duty will be calculated prior to dispatch and will be detailed on your invoice

Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT - an authorisation for payment of your order is normally required when you enter it in-line. We accept payment by Visa. Mastercard. AMEX. Delta, Maestro or through PayPal. We will normally take payment against your authorisation when we are about to send your order. All transactions and settlements are made in Pounds Sterling; if you are buying from abroad. payments made by card or PayPal are translated automatically to your currency by your card supplier or PayPal at the then current rate.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS - card details provided by you from our website are captured securely by Sage Pay; we do not ourselves ever see the card details themselves. We do not charge your card until the respective items are ready to ship.

PAYPAL - This method of settlement has become popular amongst users of the Internet and allows for settlement by credit card without the need to pass card details to us. It is perhaps best suited to those who already have a PayPal account. To pay through this method, simply select this method of payment in the Sage Pay payment screen. As the cost of collection using this method is relatively expensive for us, we request that you avoid it for small amounts particularly.

CHEQUES - Payment by cheque is onlt accepted by arrangement. Only Sterling cheques which are drawn on a bank in the UK. Isle of Man or Channel Islands are accepted. They should be made payable to 'Roseground'.

PRICES - Roseground prices are usually those quoted in its on-line shop and in its current printed catalogue but Roseground reserves the right to make changes as necessary without notice. We will normally notify you before shipment if this applies to items on your order.

VAT - the prices shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Customers resident outside of the European Union VAT Area will be given a credit for this tax (16.67% of the tax inclusive price) from prices where this is included. This credit is not calculated when the order is taken but will be calculated and given when payment is claimed. The main exception is books which are tax-free in the UK and are not therefore subject to this tax discount.

SHIPMENT - subject to availability of stock. we usually ship on the day of receipt of order or during the next working day. Where there is a delay for any reason we will normally advise you of the reason and expected date of shipment. Bobbins. particularly those with inscriptions or special lettering. are often made/painted to order; please allow ar least 3 weeks, preferably more, for their delivery (although we can sometimes improve on this).

PACKING & DELIVERY - all prices are exclusive of postage and packing. The estimated delivery cost for each order is calculated during order entry and included in the amount included in the provisional card charge. Our guide line within the UK is £1.00 plus postage with a minimum of £1.80. However, actual charges are based on weight. bulk and destination. etc which can be difficult to predict before packing and, as we wish to ensure that the costs to you are kept to the minimum and our aim is to only cover our costs, it is possible that the final charge will differ slightly. Alternative rates are indicated during order entry and may be selected if appropriate. Any indicated delivery times are given in good faith but cannot be guarenteed. It is unlikely that the estimated cost is exceeded but, if significant, we will advise. We will normally advise you of the actual total value of the order when we are ready to ship.

INSURANCE - we obtain Proof of Postage for all items mailed. This typically covers for loss in transit for up to £30. We automatically insure all orders greater than £100 for which a charge, notified to you during order entry, is added to the delivery charge. If you wish to insure orders of less than that amount, please advise.

NON RECEIPT - it is your responsibily to advise us if the goods have not been received after one week has elapsed beyond the expected arrival date (bearing in mind your location and the method used for sending) so that the necessary enquiries and possible claims can be made with the carrier. We cannot consider claims after an excessive period has elapsed.

RETURNS - please contact us if for any reason it is necessary to return items to us. We do not normally accept returns of patterns or books.

TITLE - shall only pass to the buyer when the Roseground has received full payment for all the amounts then owed by the buyer to Roseground.

PRIVACY POLICY - Roseground does not disclose customer information to third parties. Cookies are used in our on-line shop. Unless you have indicated otherwise, we may ourselves use information gathered from you (other than financial details) to keep you informed about items which may be of interest to you
